Q:I have asked multiple people, multiple times how to work the floor scrubber and what I’m told is “It’s just like driving a car” and they tell me what the buttons on the panel do. Okay, great, but where do I put water in? Where is the full line? Do I have to empty it afterwards? I think these are all just as important.
A:There should be short training videos on the screen on how to operate it and on the wire.My maintenance supervisor showed me a while back. Not alot of associates know but what I do know is pretty much every salaried member of management knows what to do so ask.It depends on what scrubbers your store have.We have the TYR grey auto scrubber. So here what we do. So the Clean water goes in the side where the cap that looks like a gas cap for a car. Its full when water is just about to overflow or about a fingertip below the rim. The backside there 3 tubes ,2 with caps the other is attached to the squeegee and is the vacuum it’d be in the middle. The one that is hung lower with the cap is to drain the clean water that you just put in that’s on the left. The tube that is hung little higher is to drain the reservoir of dirty water after you’re done with cleaning. To do that just back it up to the sink drain on the floor and just take the tube and uncap it and let it drain.after that get the water hose and rinse out the dirty water tank. Then cap the tube and hook it back in place.Again Clean water is filled through the refill tank that look like a gas cap to a car.
